Laurie Warden Rental Agent
With her background working as a recruiter in Human Resources, Laurie understands that the rental process is all about having a thorough understanding of what the family or individuals are looking for in a vacation rental here in this unique area of the country. She is well acquainted with the amenities of each home and enjoys sharing with you what each area around the island has to offer. This knowledge is invaluable to those coming to the Island for the first time or to those that return year after year.
Laurie looks forward to working with you to not only choose a home with the right number of bedrooms, but to find the cottage that will enhance and contribute to how you want to spend your time here on Mount Desert Island to make your stay a memorable one.
Laurie has lived on MDI for 32 years and for the past 16 years has lived in a house she and her husband built near the head of Somes Sound, that they share with their Australian Shepard.
Deb DeWalt Rental Agent
Deb DeWalt started her relationship with Mount Desert Island while growing up as a “summer kid" here. Her parents owned a home in Southwest Harbor overlooking Western Way and which is where she learned to sail and fell in love with sailing the Maine waters every summer.
After living in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts for 25 years and raising her children there, she spent time trying to figure out how to get back to Maine one day on a more permanent basis. She built a house in Southwest Harbor and moved here full time in 2006 and became a “year round summer person.” Since moving here full time, she has been able to renew her love of sailing and tennis during the summer season and has enjoyed becoming a part of the thriving Southwest harbor year round community.
She owns and manages two rental properties on MDI and one in Massachusetts and rents to both seasonal and year round people so she has real hands on experience with the rental business. She knows Mount Desert Island well after spending time here for most of her life and would love to help you find your perfect “summer house.”
