Bring a healthy desire to relax while at Sunset Cottage and from the deck, watch the sun setting on Blue Hill Mountain. Enter Sunset Cottage to a large and inviting kitchen and dining area with island/bar seating and dining table for all of your party, with ocean and meadow views. Off the kitchen is a half bathroom and a pantry. Through the kitchen are two entrances to the enormous, homey living room where cozy sitting areas abound. Sunset Cottage has a custom-made fireplace featuring local stones. On a cool night, make a fire in the fireplace. (Sorry, the wood stove is not for use by tenants.)
Sunset Cottage's living room also offers a single pull-out sofa for one extra person or youngster. Air conditioning is included in the living room as well as upstairs in the master bedroom. A large screen TV in the living room and an ample desk makes that room totally useful for everyone.
On the second floor are three bedrooms: one with a queen and two with full-sized beds. Also on the second floor is the full bathroom with new tub/shower. The washer and dryer are in the basement, downstairs from the kitchen. Sunset Cottage has a gas grill, deck furniture, some air conditioning, fans, use of the garage for bike and kayak storage, plush lawns, blueberry bushes, and sunny deck with awning for comfort.
Northeast Harbor is 5 miles away, Bar Harbor is 6 miles away. Eagle Lake trails are 3 miles away.
Famous Abels Lobster Pound is 2/10 mile at the foot of Stanley Mountain Road -- walk down for oceanside dinners and lunches with the Stanley Family.
